Oman Tourism Forum 2022 to kick off on May 10 in Dubai

Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism will launch the ‘Oman Tourism Forum 2022’ on May 10, 2022, at the Dubai World Trade Centre during the Arabian Travel Market.

The event is organized by the ministry in cooperation with the China Forum for International Investment and China Travel Online.

The event will be chaired by Mr. Azzan bin Qasim al Busaidy, Under-Secretary of The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism, in the presence of speakers from the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Omran, Rotana Hotels Group, Oman Airports, and others.

The ministry said that “Oman is ranked 18th in global foreign direct investment in 2021, and according to the World Economic Forum, Oman is considered one of the safest countries in the Middle East.”

Ms. Saada bint Abdullah Al Harthiyah, Director of Business Development at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism stated that, “We are pleased to launch the Oman Tourism Forum 2022, as this first-of-its-kind forum, in partnership with China, aims to empower sector officials with best practices, communicate with experts and learn the latest trends in the industry. While this step will enhance cooperation between Oman and China, we are optimistic that this partnership will pave the way for more in the future.”

“The forum aims to bring together industry leaders to explore tourism and partnership opportunities in the Sultanate of Oman and will be attended by more than 150 delegates from China, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia,” Ms. Al Harthiyah added.

Oman Tourism Forum 2022 will present working papers and visual presentations while a memorandum of cooperation will be signed between the Sultanate of Oman and several major Chinese travel and tourism companies, as per the statement.
