Qatar’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Qatar Chamber) has engaged in a collective agreement with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor, and Social Affairs (MADLSA) to promote their association in the nation’s labor re-employment.

The agreement will facilitate further collaboration among both parties on Qatar Chamber’s electronic platform for labor re-employment which was launched last July in deliberation with the Ministry to enable re-employment for skilled workers in the local market.

The arrangement is expected to improve between both entities towards labor re-employment, facilitating access to skilled labor along with providing alternatives to recruitment from abroad through establishing an electronic link between both sides to save time and efforts in a way that achieves the interests of all parties.

The agreement will result in setting up a joint committee of the Chamber and the Ministry to reinforce each body’s responsibilities and roles under the signed agreement such as increasing mutual coordination, recommend additional fields of cooperation, and implementation of joint projects in accordance with the signed agreement.
