IFP Qatar has completed preparations for Project Qatar 2026, 22nd edition of the country’s largest exhibition for building materials, construction equipment and construction technologies.

The three-day exhibition will run from June 9 to 11 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), IFP Qatar announced during a press conference on Monday.

Held under the theme ‘Manufacture, Build, Innovate’, Project Qatar 2026 will focus on supporting the industrial sector, advancing the construction industry and promoting innovative technologies and solutions.

Hussein Yousef Al Abdulghani, Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department at Qatar Chamber, said that, “Project Qatar is one of the region’s leading specialized exhibitions in the construction sector, playing a vital role in strengthening business partnerships, fostering collaboration between local and international companies, and providing a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and showcasing the latest technologies and innovations.”

Abdulghani noted that, “Qatar Chamber is participating in the event as the Business Community Partner, in line with its continued support for impactful initiatives that reinforce Qatar’s position as a regional hub for business and specialized exhibitions, while contributing to sustainable economic development.”

Ashghal to showcase flagship infrastructure projects

Abdullah Saad Al Saad, Manager of the Public Relations and Communications Department at Ashghal, commented that the authority’s participation in Project Qatar 2026 as Strategic Partner reflects its role in supporting Qatar’s urban development and infrastructure expansion.

He said that Ashghal will showcase several flagship projects along with the latest technologies and innovative solutions used in project delivery, highlighting its commitment to innovation, sustainability and operational efficiency.

Al Saad added that the exhibition will also provide opportunities to strengthen partnerships with contractors, suppliers and consultants, while encouraging the exchange of expertise to support the growth of Qatar’s construction sector and the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.

QDB to feature 18 Qatari companies at exhibition

Senior Director of Marketing and Communications at Qatar Development Bank (QDB), Ahmed Hassan Al Mahasna, said the bank’s participation reflects its role in supporting the private sector, empowering Qatar-based companies and connecting them with commercial and contractual opportunities.

He said the QDB pavilion at Project Qatar 2026 will host 18 Qatari companies showcasing products and services tailored to construction and infrastructure development projects in Qatar.

Al Mahasna added that QDB facilitated more than 440 contractual opportunities last year between private sector firms and national entities, with a combined value exceeding $548.6 million (QR2 billion), as part of its localization efforts.

Project Qatar 2026 spotlights role of exhibition sector

Project Qatar 2026 underscores the growing role of the exhibitions and conferences sector as a key contributor to Qatar’s economy. The event serves as a platform for showcasing products and services while enabling stronger connections between investors, companies and decision-makers.

It also supports the exchange of knowledge and technology, creates new partnership and investment opportunities, and contributes to sectors including hospitality, transportation, logistics, industry and advanced technologies.
