The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) and Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Huawei Developer Conference (HDC) 2026 to expand collaboration in destination marketing, digital content development and tourism innovation.
The agreement builds on a partnership that began in 2024 and establishes a framework for deeper cooperation aimed at enhancing destination visibility, strengthening traveler engagement and supporting tourism growth through technology-driven initiatives.
Under the MoU, the two organizations will explore opportunities to develop destination content across Huawei platforms, including Petal Maps, Huawei Themes and other ecosystem channels.
The partnership will also support marketing campaigns designed to increase awareness of Ras Al Khaimah among international audiences through content collaborations, influencer engagement programs and destination storytelling initiatives tailored to key traveler segments.
RAKTDA and HMS will assess opportunities to leverage Huawei’s marketing, advertising and consumer insight capabilities to enhance destination campaigns and audience engagement efforts.
Particular emphasis will be placed on reaching Chinese outbound travelers through more personalized and targeted communications.
The agreement also includes potential collaboration on tourism-related events, consumer engagement initiatives and developer-focused activities that combine technology, travel and destination experiences.
