The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved a significant international milestone after securing one gold and two silver awards at the MENA Stevie Awards, a leading regional platform recognizing excellence and innovation in the workplace.
The awards attracted strong competition from organizations across more than 18 countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, underscoring the ministry’s growing reputation as a regional leader in innovation, governance, and sustainable resource management.
Environment Ministry wins at Stevie Awards 2026
The Environment Ministry won the gold award in the Government Innovation Excellence category for its flagship initiative, ‘Transforming Resource Security through Systems Governance‘. The project highlights the ministry’s efforts to implement advanced governance models designed to improve efficiency, sustainability, and long-term resource security across environmental, water, and agricultural sectors.
In addition to the top honor, the Environment Ministry received two silver awards. The first was in the innovative multi-sector partnerships category, recognizing its collaborative approach to resource security through integrated systems and cross-sector coordination.
The second silver award came in the public administration innovation category for an initiative focused on enabling technology scalability through strong regulatory frameworks and support mechanisms.
These recognitions reflect the ministry’s success in aligning institutional efforts and strengthening coordination among multiple entities, the officials stated. The awards also highlight the role of the ministry’s Research and Innovation Agency in driving strategic partnerships, fostering collaboration, and channeling innovation toward sustainable development goals.
The ministry emphasized that its integrated innovation approach continues to enhance operational efficiency, improve institutional performance, and deliver measurable outcomes across the environment, water, and agriculture sectors, positioning Saudi Arabia as a key player in regional and global sustainability initiatives.
