The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has discussed with the Embassy of Vietnam in the UAE ways to enhance economic cooperation and deepen bilateral trade relations, with a strong focus on expanding private sector partnerships and creating new business opportunities.

The discussions took place at the Chamber’s headquarters in Sharjah, where Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, met with Nguyen Thanh Diep, Ambassador of Vietnam to the UAE.

A key outcome of the meeting was the proposal to organize a joint Sharjah–Vietnam Business Forum in 2026.

The planned forum is expected to serve as a structured platform to support trade and investment flows while bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors from both sides to explore collaboration and build long-term partnerships.

During the session, both sides reviewed opportunities to expand economic and commercial cooperation between Sharjah and Vietnam.

The focus was on strengthening connections between the two business communities and identifying areas of collaboration across key sectors.

Organizing joint economic events such as exhibitions and conferences was highlighted as an effective tool to support knowledge exchange, improve networking, and encourage the growth of bilateral investment.

Abdallah Al Owais welcomed the Vietnamese delegation and highlighted the steady progress in economic relations between the UAE and Vietnam. He noted that ties between the two countries have grown across multiple sectors, reflecting a strong and evolving partnership.

Al Owais reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to supporting stronger business-to-business engagement through targeted initiatives and dedicated economic platforms aimed at unlocking new trade and investment opportunities.

The Vietnamese delegation expressed appreciation for the warm reception and the Chamber’s efforts to strengthen ties with Vietnam’s business community. It noted that bilateral relations continue to progress, supported by a shared commitment to expanding cooperation in trade and investment.

The delegation also emphasized the importance of enhancing communication between private sector institutions in both countries, enabling businesses on both sides to benefit from emerging opportunities and support sustainable economic growth.
