Sharjah opts for Smart EAA solutions to have seamless transaction services

Sharjah’s Finance Department (SFD) has unveiled the Smart Electronic Accreditation Application (Smart EAA) which allows the department’s highest administrative levels to accept e-approvals for all forms of documents and transactions.

The system which was inaugurated by SFD’s chairman Sheikh Mohammed bin Saad Al Qasimi enables the department to adopt a quality approach towards providing smart services to facilitate customers and to achieve the vision of building an innovative economy based on increasing sustainability and prosperity in Sharjah and the UAE.

Waleed Al Sayegh, Director General of SFD, Huda Al Yassi, Director of the Department of Financial System along with several directors and representatives from the Department attended the inaugural program which included a detailed demonstration and video presentation of the Smart EAA.

“The launch of the new electronic accreditation application culminates in a long journey of innovative work of the SFD, whose vision is derived from the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Federal Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah in the development of financial services”, said Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saud Al Qasimi.

Sheikh Mohammed added that the new initiation shows the department’s dedication to implement smart digital services that address the requirements of government agencies in line with international standards.

His Excellency, Waleed Al Sayegh said that the Sharjah government has managed to accomplishmany achievements in the Arab region as well as regionally in various technical fields, particularly concerning digital innovations to aid the customers and to ease the works of officials.

The application is designed for smart electronic gadgets and can be easily accessed by opening the link of Smart EAA and then entering a login name and password. At the bottom of the page, a list appears containing the names of departments and the user can choose the service from approved document sub-lists. Existing documents can then be transferred to pending documents for action and the user can sign electronically by pressing the option (display signature) in any existing list before pressing sign and save.

The smart accreditation system enhances the efficiency of the financial system and enables it to operate on better training, quality and security standards, while the global security programs support increased secrecy, helps in avoiding human errors, and increases service quality and customer satisfaction.

The Finance Department of Sharjah continues its work to achieve strategic goals for the management, production and distribution of cash liquidity, the production of a performance budget framework, the implementation of integrated and efficient financial policies, the creation of a global public finance model, enabling smart transformation, implementing distinct services, along with strengthening the control system and empowering national human resources, developing a culture of excellence, innovation, and managing institutional performance.
