Sharjah’s SRTI Park & Italy to boost cooperation in technology sector

UAE’s major free zone focused on innovation, Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) has received a delegation from Italy representing several fields of technology, in a bid to boost cooperation.

The delegation was received by Mr. Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTI Park, and several officials from the free zone. The meeting witnessed the officials looking into ways to enhance alliances in different areas of technology and innovation. 

During a meeting, the two parties also discussed ways to improve communication channels between them during Italians participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, which will offer new opportunities for Italian companies to enhance their position in the UAE through cooperation with the SRTI Park.

Mr. Al Mahmoudi stated that the UAE and Italy linked their future to innovation and progress, stressing that innovation is one of the most prominent areas that carry opportunities for cooperation.

The delegation listened to an introductory explanation about the most important features, services and facilities the SRTI Park provides to investors, in addition to its readiness to offer all facilities for companies wishing to invest in development.

The Italian delegation’s tour targeted to explore the advanced business environment that supports investment in Sharjah, in addition to getting acquainted with the experience of the SRTI Park and its initiatives to develop technical solutions for a number of vital sectors, investment opportunities, and ways to enhance economic cooperation and build relations between the Park and the Italian business community.

Mr. Al Mahmoudi also explained the most important features, services and facilities the Park offers to investors and its future plans through a presentation that addressed the most important investments that SRTI Park incubated as a result of world-class services in an ideal environment that helps companies and innovative investments to grow and prosper.

The delegation members also learned about the advantages of SRTI Park and what distinguishes it through its presence in an integrated and comprehensive university city. This visit comes as a reflection of the strong relations between both countries and constitutes an important and timely opportunity to enhance bilateral cooperation.
