Tech firm VMware Middle East expands its regional HQ in Dubai

US-based publicly traded software company, VMware’s subsidiary VMware Middle East has expanded its regional HQ in Dubai Internet City to support digital growth in the Middle East, Turkey, and North Africa.

Through the expansion, the tech company further intends to increase its support for public and private sector customers on their cloud and app modernization journeys.

The newly expanded regional HQ of VMware Middle East was inaugurated by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa). During the function, he highlighted the role of digital technology in developing innovative services in the UAE and the region.

The expansion of VMware’s Dubai office also demonstrates the UAE’s increasing significance as a regional center for VMware.

VMware has collaborated with Dewa, a leader of digital initiatives to enhance operations and customer support, and Moro Hub, a Dubai-based cloud service provider that provides cloud and hosting services to Government and Business customers in the UAE.

Furthermore, VMware has partnered with major customers in the UAE in sectors such as government, healthcare, and finance, to help them embrace a cloud-first strategy and modern applications that are aligned with the country’s national strategies.
