The University of Bahrain has launched a new digital service that enables users to track the status of issued document verification requests online, supporting ongoing government efforts to improve public service delivery and accelerate digital transformation.
The new ‘Enquiry on Issued Document Verification Request Status’ service allows beneficiaries inside and outside Bahrain, including embassies, institutions, and international companies, to monitor requests for verification of academic transcripts, certificates, and official statements issued by the university. Users can access real-time updates and verification results electronically through the national portal, bahrain.bh.
The service is designed to enhance transparency, simplify procedures, and improve access to information for individuals and organizations seeking to verify university-issued documents.
As part of the service enhancement, processing time has been reduced from two working days to an immediate automated process through full digital transformation. The service level agreement has been shortened by at least 25 percent, while the application process has been streamlined to a maximum of four steps.
The platform also features an improved user interface and user experience, automated service delivery, simplified procedures, and unified service information across all channels, contributing to faster processing and greater efficiency for beneficiaries.
Dr. Fouad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, said that the service reflects the university’s adoption of innovative digital solutions that enhance the efficiency of administrative processes, keep pace with government digital transformation requirements, and contribute to improving beneficiaries’ experience and simplifying procedures.
Dr. Al Ansari added that the launch of the service reflects the University of Bahrain’s commitment to providing the highest standards of service to beneficiaries and supporting the principles of governance and transparency by facilitating procedures for verifying the authenticity and issuance of statements, academic transcripts, and certificates in accordance with approved procedures.
The launch forms part of broader government efforts to develop and re-engineer public services across Bahrain. More than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, while 800 services are undergoing development and re-engineering across various government sectors.
The initiatives are based on proposals and feedback received through the national suggestions and complaints system ‘Tawasul’, investor feedback, secret shopper evaluations of government services, and the introduction of guidance manuals and service level agreements.
These efforts by the University of Bahrain aim to enhance procedural efficiency, improve service quality, strengthen beneficiary experience, and support Bahrain’s ongoing digital transformation agenda.
