The Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America have signed a joint statement on the Artificial Intelligence Opportunities Partnership to strengthen bilateral cooperation in artificial intelligence, advanced technologies, innovation, and related infrastructure.
The joint statement was signed on the sidelines of the visit of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, to the United States.
The statement was signed by Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Bahrain Ambassador to the United States, and Jacob Helberg, US Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment.
The joint statement outlines the shared commitment of Bahrain and the United States to support innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological cooperation in a manner that contributes to the economic development and economic security of both countries.
It also highlights the importance of trusted partnerships in developing infrastructure that supports artificial intelligence and related technologies.
The partnership identifies several areas of cooperation, including energy, critical minerals, semiconductors, advanced computing capabilities, and digital connectivity.
