Abu Dhabi Chamber, AusBG explore ways to boost trade & investment ties

Mr. Mohamed Helal Al Mhairi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) discussed means of strengthening trade cooperation with Mr. David Sanderson, Representative of the Australian Business Group Abu Dhabi (AusBG), and Mr. Pankaj Savara, Commissioner of the Western Australia Government’s Dubai-based Middle East Office.

Mr. Al Hameli welcomed the AusBG members into the virtually held meeting, praising the group’s role in increasing investment and trade opportunities between Australian merchants and businesses in Abu Dhabi.

Furthermore, he stated that these types of discussions would achieve their goals of improving cooperation between AusBG and other business groups in Abu Dhabi.

“Such meetings help to overcome any challenges investors face and reach new levels of bilateral cooperation as well as realize the ambitions of both sides in achieving the sustainable and comprehensive economic development,” Mr. Al Hameli added.

For his part, Mr. Savara praised the Abu Dhabi Chamber’s efforts in providing the opportunity to share ideas and viewpoints on a variety of topics of mutual interest and to come up with potential solutions to the challenges faced by AusBG during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

The commissioner emphasized the importance of continuing to hold future meetings in order to deepen economic relations between the two sides and capitalize on possible investment opportunities in both countries.

Australian Business Group Abu Dhabi

Established in 2005, Australian Business Group Abu Dhabi (AusBG) has formed to bring together Australians engaged in business activities in Abu Dhabi. Working closely with the Australian Embassy, AusBG aims to connect the Australian business community with members of other business groups and UAE interests as well as contributing to the promotion of trade and investment.
