Abu Dhabi’s leading museums and entertainment destinations have presented a wide program of cultural, artistic, and family-friendly activities during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, offering residents and visitors diverse experiences that combine heritage, creativity, and leisure across the emirate.
Louvre Abu Dhabi will feature a series of curated cultural and immersive experiences, including audio-visual performances and international film screenings beneath its iconic dome.
The program includes the ‘Floating Breathwork’ session, which offers guided meditation and relaxation activities in a controlled multisensory setting designed to support well-being and mindfulness.
The museum will also present ‘We Are Not Alone,’ an audio-visual installation exploring themes related to superintelligence and interstellar travel, featuring contributions from internationally recognized voices, including Emirati artist Hussain Al Jassmi.
In addition, visitors will be able to attend screenings of ‘The Great Journey,’ which portrays a narrative of a father and son travelling from southern France to Makkah, highlighting cultural and emotional dimensions aligned with the spirit of Eid Al-Adha.
As part of its heritage-focused programming, Zayed National Museum will host its ‘Eid Joy’ initiative from 27 to 31 May, featuring structured activities such as poetry sessions, traditional music performances, storytelling, and handicraft workshops.
The program also includes an interactive poetry experience organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi under its Experience Abu Dhabi platform, where visitors’ personal stories and memories are transformed into customized poems.
The museum will additionally host an ‘Eid Morning Gathering’ inspired by the traditional Emirati majlis format, incorporating Nabati poetry, Al Minkous performances, Emirati coffee service, live music, and cultural demonstrations, including Al Ayala, Al Harbiyah, and Al Na’ashat.
Meanwhile, the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi will offer a series of family-oriented educational and creative workshops. Activities will include Eid biscuit decorating, palm frond weaving, henna application, and mosaic design inspired by nature.
The program will also include guided tours focusing on the museum’s sustainable architectural design and environmental considerations.
On Yas Island, entertainment destinations will contribute to the Eid program with a range of leisure experiences. Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, will operate its high-speed rides and rollercoasters, while Yas Waterworld will introduce new attractions, including ‘Mataha Madness,’ identified as the tallest waterslide tower in the UAE.
Warner Bros. World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, will also offer themed entertainment experiences across its six immersive zones, featuring rides and interactive attractions based on internationally recognized film and animation characters.
