Bahrain Bourse, a licensed exchange by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), has announced the appointment of SICO BSC to expand independent equity research coverage for selected listed companies on the exchange.
Under the agreement, SICO will provide comprehensive equity research reports covering 10 companies listed on the Bahrain Bourse.
The reports will be issued on a quarterly basis and will include financial analysis, valuation assessments, investment rationale, and analyst recommendations.
The initiative aligns with Bahrain Bourse’s Capital Market Development Strategy 2026–2028, which focuses on enhancing market transparency, improving investor awareness, and increasing the visibility of Bahraini listed companies among regional and international investors.
Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Bourse, said that the partnership reflects the exchange’s ongoing efforts to strengthen transparency and reinforce Bahrain’s position as an attractive investment destination.
Al Khalifa noted that independent research plays a key role in supporting investor confidence and enabling more informed investment decisions.
Najla Al Shirawi, Group Chief Executive Officer of SICO, emphasized that the collaboration underscores a shared commitment to deepening market activity and improving investor engagement. She highlighted that high-quality, independent research helps enhance the visibility of listed companies and supports broader capital market development.
Al Shirawi added that SICO will leverage its research capabilities and sector expertise to deliver detailed analysis through its digital platforms, including the SICO Research app, as well as through Bahrain Bourse’s website and other distribution channels to broaden investor access.
SICO Research, established in 1995, is one of the GCC’s longest-standing sell-side research platforms, covering nearly 90 listed companies across the region.
The firm provides analysis across 14 sectors and is widely used by institutional investors for its structured valuation methodologies and market insights.
The partnership is expected to improve access to equity research, strengthen market participation, and support the continued development of Bahrain’s capital markets.
