DAMAC Properties, a Dubai-based luxury property developer, has awarded a $136 million construction contract to Indian conglomerate Shapoorji Pallonji Group for major works on its latest luxury community development project, DAMAC Lagoons’ Santorini cluster.

The contract includes the expansion of 847 villas, which on completion will feature white-washed and blue exteriors, exemplifying the Mediterranean island of paradise. The project, which is expected to begin construction in April 2022, is located near the DAMAC Hills in Dubailand.

Mr. Mohammed Tahaineh, General Manager of Projects at DAMAC Properties, stated that “With Shapoorji Pallonji, we have chosen a partner who shares our values for quality, safety, and on-time delivery. We are confident that with their help, DAMAC Lagoons will take shape as we have envisioned it, a masterpiece of community living that will elevate urban development in Dubai into new heights,”

DAMAC Lagoons transforms an area of 45 million square feet into a Mediterranean-inspired community of white sand beaches, tropical island vibes and other fascinating experiences, while aesthetically designed villas and townhouses enclose one million square feet of lagoons.

Santorini Cluster

At the Santorini cluster, which will be the “Central Hub” on this “Island Odyssey”, residents will be selected with their own “Fitness & Wellness Zone”. They can relax by the natural pond or enjoy a movie under the stars at the floating cinema on the water.

Slightly off the black sand beach, townhouses and villas are interspersed with wide lanes, cycle tracks, and ornamental foliage.
