India-based leading luxury hospitality consulting firm THRS has planned to expand its services to other countries across the GCC region.

THRS is the leading hospitality services company in the country, focusing on sales representation, integrated marketing, and public relations for luxury hospitality brands.

Ms. Mithu Agarwal, who joined THRS with more than 20 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, will be in charge of the GCC operations.

According to the company statement, “Currently for the GCC market, THRS represents Resplendent Ceylon – a trail of luxury resorts in Sri Lanka and Relais & Chateaux – the French brand that celebrates the art of hospitality and cuisine. Both these brands have been part of THRS’ India portfolio for 5 and 10 years respectively.”

“We have held a deep interest in the GCC for the last 3-4 years and it is exciting to see our plans come to fruition. The Middle East is a service heavy market and yet diverse in terms of traveler preferences and travel trends. The tourists from this region are some of the highest spending travelers in the world. We believe there is a huge demand for luxury-seeking travelers from the GCC that is yet to be tapped. With Mithu leading from the front, we are ramping up our operations and prospecting for this market.”

“The last year was tough for our industry and even though travel restrictions continue to be in place, there is a sense of renewed hope. It was wonderful to reconnect with colleagues from the industry and to look ahead to the future when travel picks up again. We are looking forward to working with THRS and bringing our customers closer to Resplendent Ceylon and Relais & Chateaux which are both quintessential luxury brands,” said Mr. Gautam Saigal, Travel Manager at American Express Middle East.

Furthermore, THRS has plans to host more events in the coming months to highlight the portfolio and engage and communicate with trade partners based in various GCC source markets.
