Ooredoo joins with Tamdeen to bring digital service in Al Khiran project

Qatar-headquartered multinational telecom company Ooredoo has entered into a 5-year partnership with Tamdeen Pearl, a subsidiary of Tamdeen Group, Kuwait’s leading mixed-use property developer.

As part of the agreement, Ooredoo will be allowed to bring innovative services and integrated digital communication solutions with the support of high-speed 5G technology at the first stage of the Al Khiran project, the ‘‘Hybrid Outlet Mall’’, the region’s first hybrid leisure and lifestyle destination. The telecom company will also back the project in the cybersecurity technical services with its highest international standards and specifications.

The partnership deal was signed under the presence of Ooredoo Kuwait’s top authorities including Abdulaziz Yaqoub Al-Babtain (CEO), Fadi Kawar (COO), Mijbil Alayoub (Senior Director, Corporate Communications) and the management team of Tamdeen Shopping Center which includes Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Sarawi (CEO), Nabil Fares (GM of Information Technology), Muath Al Roumi (GM of Group Marketing).

Commenting on the partnership Al-Babtain stated, this partnership shows the commitment of Ooredoo towards the ‘New Kuwait 2035’ vision and the telecom company’s role in supporting the construction of smart shopping malls with the high international standards by offering innovative digital solutions and communication systems.

With this deal, Tamdeen Group will be able to secure a position in the retail, entertainment and leisure sector and aligns with the group’s strategy to contribute to the economic development of the State of Kuwait.

The Al Khiran project targets to meet the changing demands of its customers by offering premium outlet shopping, exceptional dining options, entertainment, events, exhibitions and leisure experiences.

With the signing of this agreement, Ooredoo Kuwait and Tamdeen Group will be topped in the race to bring digitalization in the country.

Al Khiran project

Located in South Kuwait, in the heart of Sabah Al Ahmad Sea City, the Al Khiran project spreads across 350,000 square meters. Phase 1 construction is now progressing with 70,000 square meters of retail space to incorporate unique attractions that will place the project as a favorable shopping and entertainment destination.
