Qatar Tourism has announced that temporary hotel stay extensions granted to visitors affected by recent travel disruptions will remain in effect until 14 March 2026, providing stranded travelers with additional time to arrange their return journeys.

The measure aims to support international visitors whose travel plans were interrupted by exceptional circumstances that led to flight cancellations and operational disruptions across regional airspace.

Under the initiative, eligible visitors whose flights were cancelled or disrupted since 28 February 2026 have been offered complimentary hotel stay extensions in licensed hotels, coordinated through partnerships between Qatar Tourism and hospitality providers across the country.

The support package includes accommodation in the same room category as the original booking along with three daily meals, ensuring visitors can remain comfortably accommodated while they finalize their onward travel arrangements.

The extension is part of Qatar’s broader response to aviation disruptions that affected travel schedules in the region and temporarily limited flight operations.

During this period, airlines, including Qatar Airways, introduced flexible travel policies and limited flight schedules to help passengers continue their journeys once airspace conditions allowed for safe operations.

Qatar Tourism confirmed that the initiative reflects the country’s commitment to ensuring visitor well-being and maintaining the reputation of the destination as a reliable and hospitable travel hub.

By working closely with hotels and industry partners, authorities have been able to provide coordinated assistance to tourists whose departure plans were unexpectedly delayed.

Visitors benefiting from the program are advised to finalize their travel arrangements by 14 March 2026, which marks the end of the current extension period.

Travelers who require further support can contact their hotel concierge or reach out directly to Qatar Tourism through its dedicated hotline 106 for assistance with travel coordination and related inquiries.

The initiative underscores Qatar’s proactive approach to crisis management in the tourism sector and highlights the country’s readiness to support visitors during unforeseen disruptions.
