Qatari Businessmen Association explores trade & economic ties with Saudi envoy

The Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA) has discussed ways to strengthen economic and trade ties between the two countries with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Qatar HE Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Abdullah Al Farhan Al Saud.

Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman of QBA, has emphasized Association’s willingness to discuss about the trade possibilities in Saudi Arabia. He remarked about the significant opportunities available in the Qatari market for Saudi businessmen, as well as the favorable investment climate.

Sheikh Faisal stated that the Qatari economy is diversifying in line with the country’s national vision and that the country is eager to deepen economic ties and move towards the industrial sector, minimize reliance on hydrocarbon resources, and invest across all sectors. He further remarked on QBA’s willingness to work with Saudi Arabia’s business sector to promote economic progress in both nations.

Prince Mansour stated that the purpose of his visit was to strengthen ways of cooperation and facilitate partnerships between the two countries’ business sectors. He applauded QBA and Qatari businessmen for their contributions to the country’s economy, particularly during the global health crisis.

Further, he expressed his interest in knowing more about the Qatari businessmen and invited them to visit Saudi Arabia and get acquainted with various investment opportunities in light of the economic and dynamic development that the country is witnessing through the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030.

During the meeting, QBA members provided an overview of their firms’ various economic areas as well as the investment sectors in which they are interested, by emphasizing their willingness to expand bilateral cooperation and explore potential investment projects in Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
