Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) and Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) have signed a partnership agreement, enabling them to continue their promotion of Qatar as a hub for business events and further contribute to strengthening Qatar National Vision 2030.

According to a joint statement, both venues are set to develop the Qatar business sector through various events, conferences, live shows, and exhibitions in 2022.

The two companies will focus on both national and international audiences. In line with this offering, the duo will provide common knowledge and training for staff to create best Industry practices and implement future centric safety regulations within the Exhibition industry in Qatar.

The venues alongside Qatar Tourism will visit several roadshows and industry exhibitions to promote Doha internationally amongst key decision-makers.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Mohammed Al-Naimi, Chief Executive Officer, AMLAK Holding, and Management Company of QNCC stated that “We are gradually making improvements in QNCC with how we manage and create events for clients. We are excited to work alongside DECC to support our strategy in making incremental improvements that can help last over the next decade as we aim to drive more exhibitions and live shows to Qatar.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Ahmed Al-Obaidli, Chief Executive Officer, Qatar Business Events Corporation remarked that “The focus of QNV 2030 is for Qatar to become an advanced society capable of sustainable development and to provide high living standards for Qatari citizens. QNV 2030 has led to investments in infrastructure, cultural, medical and hospitality sectors, making Qatar’s proposition even stronger for international event organizers.”

“At DECC, we reflect this through commitment towards interacting and forming global partnerships to have exhibitions and events that help connect cultures, people, and commerce. The business events industry is a key priority in the national strategy. We believe that this partnership with QNCC is a great milestone that will really help in developing the industry within Qatar by building on events, conferences, and exhibitions,” Mr. Al-Obaidli added.
