QNB Group and Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q), a partner university of Qatar Foundation, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the QNB Center for Business Innovation to strengthen business education and support innovation-driven growth.

The agreement was signed by Abdullah Mubarak Al Khalifa, Group Chief Executive Officer of QNB, and Dr. Michael Trick, Dean of CMU-Q, in the presence of representatives from both institutions.

The initiative reflects a joint effort to bridge academic expertise with industry knowledge, with a focus on developing talent and advancing innovation across key sectors.

The QNB Center for Business Innovation will serve as a platform that connects academic research with practical business applications. The center supports the development of future professionals by providing access to specialized knowledge, research opportunities, and industry engagement.

QNB noted that the partnership underscores its continued focus on promoting knowledge-based economic growth and supporting digital transformation.

The establishment of the center aligns with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, particularly in advancing human capital development and economic diversification.

Group CEO Abdullah Mubarak Al Khalifa said that the collaboration reflects the bank’s view that future economic growth will depend on innovation capacity and the development of human capital.

Al Khalifa noted that the center will work to support and equip the next generation of Qatari and regional talent with skills relevant to a changing business environment.

Dr. Michael Trick said that the initiative brings together CMU-Q’s academic strengths and QNB’s experience in the financial sector. Trick added that integrating expertise in business administration, artificial intelligence, information systems, and technological innovation with practical industry insights is expected to create meaningful learning and development opportunities for students and the broader community.
