SDAIA showcases digital transformation of ‘Nafath Application’

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has showcased the digital transformation journey in the Nafath application at the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo 2023 in Barcelona, Spain.

The Kingdom is participating in the event with ten government entities in order to showcase the leading success stories in digital transformation in the Kingdom.

The Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo 2023 conference explores innovative and transformational opportunities with a global community of experts and peers.

According to the statement, “This came at a session at the exhibition events, during which Assistant Director for Advanced Recognition Technologies and Digital Identity at the National Information Center (NIC) of SDAIA, Dr. Hotham Al-Twaijri presented a briefing about the Nafath application.”

Dr. Al-Twaijri noted that the concept of digital identity in today’s digital landscape is becoming increasingly important, as it serves as a gateway for individuals to access a wide range of government and private services.

The Assistant Director said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has invested the resources and expertise needed to develop the Nafath application as a key component of the digital transformation journey, as the application has revolutionized the digital identity life cycle, which led to enhancing each stage effectively.

“The Nafath application has a profound impact at the national level through contributing to promoting the concept of a safe homeland, providing a user-friendly and appropriate experience for all segments of society, raising the efficiency of spending and generating revenue and savings at the individual and entity levels, as well as enabling the Kingdom to become a global pioneer in digital verification services and contribution to digital transformation,” Dr. Al-Twaijri further added.
