Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement has been expanding international partnerships and strengthening industrial cooperation through its participation in Eurosatory 2026, one of the world’s leading defense and security exhibitions, to be held in Paris, France, from 15th to 19th June 2026, under the theme, ‘Anticipating Defense and Security Challenges’.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Defense and organised by ADNEC Group, Tawazun is promoting UAE defense companies through a unified national pavilion at Eurosatory 2026. The initiative seeks to strengthen engagement with global industry leaders, advance strategic partnerships and knowledge exchange, and improve access to advanced technologies, supporting national capability development and long-term competitiveness and readiness.

The council’s delegation includes Matar Ali Al Romaithi, Director-General of Planning and Procurement Directorate; Shareef Hashim Al Hashmi, Director-General of Industrial Development Directorate; Majed Ahmed Al Jabri, Executive Director of Tawazun Economic Programme Sector; and Majed Saif Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Research and Development Sector.

The Planning and Procurement Directorate supports defense procurement pathways, develops future capability requirements, and strengthens engagement with strategic partners. The Industrial Development Directorate focuses on enabling industrial growth opportunities and strengthening local value chains, while the Industrial Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Directorate monitors advanced technologies and their applications to enhance operational efficiency and readiness.

The Tawazun delegation also includes Emirati engineers and specialists from across the council’s directorates, reflecting advanced expertise across defense-related industrial, technical and strategic fields, and enabling engagement with global trends and advanced technologies that support knowledge transfer and future development.

Al Hashmi stated that France and Europe offer significant opportunities for knowledge exchange and strategic defense partnerships, adding that such engagements support the UAE’s efforts to strengthen its role as a trusted global defense partner while advancing national capabilities and future readiness.

Tawazun’s participation provides a platform for bilateral meetings and specialized discussions with government entities, European and international defense companies, and leading research institutions, supporting knowledge exchange and new areas of cooperation to strengthen the national industrial ecosystem and its integration into global value chains.
