Abu Dhabi Chamber explores ways to boost business cooperation with Pakistani Ambassador

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s (ADCCI) Director-General Mr. Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri has discussed the possibilities of strengthening cooperation between businesses with Mr. Afzaal Mahmood, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE.

Mr. Abdullah Ghurair Al Qubaisi and Mr. Helal Mohammed Al Hameli, Deputy Directors General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber also attended the meeting held at the Chamber’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, Mr. Al Mheiri emphasized that the UAE’s and Pakistan’s strong economic and trade ties, stating that the two nations’ trade exchange data show their long-standing partnership.

Further, Mr. Al Mheiri stated that the Abu Dhabi Chamber is fully prepared to provide all required assistance to help Pakistani businesses and entrepreneurs in exploring the tremendous investment potential in Abu Dhabi.

For his part, Ambassador Mahmood lauded the role of the Abu Dhabi Chamber in bolstering trade relations between businesses in Abu Dhabi and Pakistan. He further emphasized the importance of enhancing economic cooperation between the business communities of Abu Dhabi and the UAE in general, and the business communities of Pakistan in particular.

The Ambassador noted that the Pakistani government has announced a number of programs aimed at attracting foreign investors to explore the promising opportunities in key areas. He further added that most of the countries will be able to make notable investments and develop great collaborations as a result of their participation in Expo 2020.

Last week, Abu Dhabi Chamber has discussed the ways to strengthen the economic and investment cooperation with officials from the Netherlands.
