Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), in collaboration with Majalis Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority, has launched the ‘Entrepreneurial Families Initiative’ in Al Ain to support entrepreneurial families and households and increase their participation in Abu Dhabi’s economic ecosystem.

The Entrepreneurial Families Initiative aims to help residents transform business ideas into sustainable ventures in line with Abu Dhabi’s efforts to strengthen UAE human capital, support SMEs and accelerate economic diversification.

As part of the program, a series of awareness workshops will be held across multiple locations in Al Ain to provide guidance on business setup, licensing procedures and government support services available within Abu Dhabi’s business environment.

The workshops, delivered through community platforms in partnership with Majalis Abu Dhabi, are designed to directly engage target groups and improve awareness of regulatory requirements and business opportunities.

The Entrepreneurial Families Initiative forms part of ADDED’s broader strategy to strengthen private sector participation, simplify market entry procedures and support sustainable economic growth by expanding participation in commercial activities across the emirate.

Participants will receive guidance on business registration, licensing requirements and compliance procedures through services provided by the Abu Dhabi Registration Authority (ADRA), ADDED’s regulatory arm for the business sector.

The Entrepreneurial Families Initiative will also include specialized training sessions throughout the year in areas such as e-commerce, financial management and digital economy opportunities to help participants adapt to evolving economic trends and priority sectors.
