The third edition of the Al Dhaid Agriculture Exhibition has recorded strong visitor turnout and increased participation, reinforcing its growing role in supporting agricultural development and strengthening food security efforts in the UAE, particularly in the emirate of Sharjah.
Organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber, the Al Dhaid Agriculture Exhibition was hosted at Expo Al Dhaid and brought together federal ministries, local authorities, private sector companies, farmers, and palm farm owners from across the UAE.
As one of the flagship initiatives of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Al Dhaid Agriculture Exhibition aims to drive sustainable growth and development of the agricultural sector across the Eastern and Central regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.
Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadhi, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighted the steadily rising levels of engagement from visitors, exhibitors, and key stakeholders. Al Awadhi explained that the Al Dhaid Agriculture Exhibition plays a key role in advancing national food security objectives while promoting organic agricultural production, contributing positively to public health and overall quality of life.
The Director-General added that the third edition has recorded more than a 20 percent increase in participant numbers compared with the previous cycle, reflecting the growing interest and confidence in the agricultural sector.
The Al Dhaid Agriculture Exhibition features broad participation from federal and local government entities, alongside national and private sector companies and specialized farms producing a wide range of vegetables, fruits, and agricultural products.
The event aligns with the Sharjah Chamber’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the agricultural sector, promote sustainable farming initiatives, and enhance reliance on local production to support long-term food security.
