Arada has awarded $555.4 million (AED 2.04 billion) in contracts to build 14 residential buildings comprising 2,210 homes in the next phase of the $9.53 billion (AED 35 billion) Aljada in Sharjah.
Construction of five Nesba buildings on East Boulevard and five Safa buildings on West Boulevard will be carried out by China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group Co., a subsidiary of China Railway Group.
The contract for The Gate blocks 3-6, located at the community’s southern entrances, has been awarded to Kuwait-based Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al Kharafi and Sons LLC, a long-standing regional contractor that has previously partnered with Arada on projects including Masaar and Nasma Residences.
Both contracts have a 26-month construction timeline, with all buildings scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2028, ahead of the opening of Madar Mall, a major retail and lifestyle destination within Aljada. The developments will feature modern apartment blocks offering one- to four-bedroom homes, with smart home technologies integrated as standard.
The Nesba and Safa districts feature contemporary, light-filled architecture and are located next to Aljada’s upcoming sports park, a 400,000-square-foot landscaped complex scheduled to open by the end of 2026. The facility will include a full-size football pitch, five-a-side fields, padel, basketball, volleyball, squash and badminton courts, as well as cycling and jogging tracks and children’s adventure play areas.
The Gate 3-4 is a two-building complex at the main entry point of East Boulevard, directly opposite SABIS International School, Aljada. The Gate 5-6 cluster is located at the West Boulevard entrance near the northwest corner of the community, opposite Raffles World Academy Aljada, which is scheduled to open for the 2026-2027 academic year.
