Omani Delegation visits Saudi Economic Cities & Special Zones Authority

The Saudi Economic Cities and Special Zones Authority has welcomed a delegation from the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones in the Sultanate of Oman.

The purpose of the visit was to strengthen cooperation, exchange knowledge, and share expertise between the two parties.

The Omani delegation, led by Dr. Ali bin Masoud Al-Sunaidy, engaged in a series of meetings with the leadership of the Saudi authority. It included discussions with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih.

Furthermore, the Omani delegation met with the Secretary-General of the Authority, Mr. Nabil Khojah, to explore potential avenues of cooperation, attract strategic investments for special economic zones, and develop targeted sectors in both countries.

Throughout their four-day visit, the Omani delegation engaged in dialogues with various stakeholders in the government and private sector.

The key topics included infrastructure enhancement in special economic zones, developmental projects, knowledge exchange, and exploring opportunities for cooperation across various fields. The delegation held discussions with representatives from the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), the CEOs of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, SABIC, and representatives from the Federation of Saudi Chambers.

Additionally, the Omani delegation participated in a roundtable meeting organized by the Saudi-Omani Business Council. The focus of the discussion was on available opportunities, investment incentives, and possibilities for infrastructure improvements, with a particular emphasis on enhancing bilateral trade.
