The positive trajectory of our bilateral trade and investment in recent years has laid the foundation for a new phase of productive economic cooperation. Qatar remains committed to maintaining a stable and attractive investment environment, and we underscore the importance of finalizing the Agreement on the Mutual Promotion and Protection of Investments.”

Dr. Al Sayed also expressed Qatar’s aspiration to establish a joint Qatar-Spain Business Council, aimed at further strengthening ties between the two countries’ business communities.

The session covered key topics, including investment and trade opportunities, updates on bilateral agreements, and the investment climate in Qatar and Spain. Mechanisms for financing trade and projects, as well as strategies to enhance communication between the private sectors, were also discussed.

Participants reviewed mutual investments, highlighting the expanding Spanish presence in Qatar’s market and Qatari investments in Spain, along with incentives offered by Qatar’s free zones. The dialogue also explored strategic connectivity, including air transport, aviation services, logistics, sustainable agriculture, agricultural technology, and the resilience of food supply chains.

The session concluded with both sides affirming their commitment to continue joint efforts to strengthen the economic, trade, and investment partnership.
