The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) of the State of Qatar has launched 36 new electronic services through its official website, as part of its ongoing efforts to streamline procedures, improve service efficiency, and enhance the overall customer experience.
The Qatari Ministry of Commerce and Industry stated that the newly introduced digital services encompass a comprehensive range of regulatory and licensing procedures. These include applications for the issuance, amendment, and cancellation of promotional prize draws, services related to annual sales plans, seasonal sales permits, licensing for loyalty programs, and ‘Scratch and Win’ promotional campaigns.
In addition, the newly introduced digital services also cover licensing for a wide variety of special offers and commercial promotions, which include detailed applications for issuance, amendment, and cancellation. These services further extend to permits required for festivals, major commercial initiatives, and final liquidation licenses, ensuring that all essential regulatory processes are accessible online.
The offering also includes a full suite of brokerage services, enabling the issuance, renewal, amendment, and cancellation of licenses and professional cards. This digital framework allows businesses and professionals to complete all transactions electronically, boosting convenience, speed, accuracy, and efficiency. By centralizing these services online, the Ministry reduces bureaucratic hurdles, minimizes delays, and streamlines workflows across Qatar’s commercial and professional sectors.
The Ministry further highlighted that the rollout of these innovative digital services demonstrates its strong commitment to accelerating the digital transformation of government operations and enhancing the overall quality, accessibility, and user experience of public services. This initiative aligns closely with the Ministry’s strategic objectives to foster innovation, strengthen operational efficiency, and deliver flexible, customer-centric solutions that respond effectively to the evolving needs of businesses and individuals in Qatar.
