Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce has expanded the participation of hypermarkets, cafés, restaurant brands, and major companies to provide supply services across the holy sites during the 1447 AH Hajj season.

The initiative aims to enhance the availability of essential goods, strengthen market readiness, and broaden service options for pilgrims, ensuring smoother access to supplies throughout the pilgrimage period.

According to the statement, the supply branches offer a wide range of essential consumer goods and food products to meet the needs of pilgrims in the holy sites. These include drinking water, juices, dairy products, baked goods, ice cream, and other daily necessities, ensuring convenient access to fresh and essential items that support pilgrims throughout their stay during the Hajj season.

This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of supply services, improve the overall shopping experience, and broaden the range of services available to pilgrims in the holy sites. It also seeks to ensure smoother operations, better accessibility, and greater convenience in meeting the diverse needs of pilgrims throughout the Hajj season.

Saudi Arabia Strengthens Supply Chain Ahead of Peak Hajj Demand

Recently, the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Commerce announced that more than 243 million essential goods have been supplied to markets and retail outlets across Makkah and the holy sites since the beginning of Dhul Hijjah.

The Saudi Arabia ministry is keen on ensuring an abundant supply of vital commodities, including bread, bottled water, dairy products, and ice, to meet the daily needs of pilgrims during the Hajj season.

“The provisions include over 121.6 million bottles of water; 82.2 million packages of dairy products, juices, and soft drinks; 31.3 million loaves of bread; and more than 7.9 million blocks of ice. To sustain this immense demand, daily production capacities have been aggressively scaled to exceed 32.6 million bottles of water, 24.7 million packages of milk and juice, 8.8 million loaves of bread, and 2.2 million ice blocks,” As per the statement.
