Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has activated its Mobile Operations Centers (MOCs) for the 2026 (1447 AH) Hajj season to enhance real-time monitoring, data analysis and operational coordination across the holy sites.
The advanced centers are aimed at supporting government agencies involved in Hajj operations by accelerating response times, improving field coordination and enabling faster decision-making through the real-time analysis of operational data and performance indicators.
As part of SDAIA’s broader digital infrastructure, the Mobile Operations Centers provide an integrated operational environment that allows SDAIA leadership and participating authorities to monitor field activities instantly across key Hajj locations and pilgrimage sites.
The centers are equipped with smart surveillance cameras, interactive control systems and advanced cybersecurity networks directly linked to SDAIA’s central digital infrastructure. The system is designed to facilitate seamless communication and operational oversight during one of the world’s largest annual religious gatherings.
SDAIA noted that the deployment heavily relies on artificial intelligence and advanced analytics technologies to integrate operations among multiple government entities involved in managing Hajj services and crowd movement.
The authority added that the technology-driven approach is intended to improve the efficiency of field operations, support rapid responses to unexpected operational developments and help ensure a smoother and safer pilgrimage experience for millions of pilgrims arriving in the Kingdom.
The activation of the Mobile Operations Centers forms part of Saudi Arabia’s wider efforts to modernize Hajj operations through digital transformation, smart technologies and AI-driven services aimed at improving safety, logistics and service delivery during the pilgrimage season.
The initiative also aligns with the objectives of the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims and strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a global leader in digital government and artificial intelligence applications.
SDAIA stated that the deployment reflects its mandate to harness data and emerging technologies in support of pilgrims and in line with directives from the Saudi leadership to enhance operational readiness and service efficiency during Hajj.
