The UAE Cyber Security Council has partnered with QuantumGate to launch the national Crypto Discovery Tool (CDT), an Abu Dhabi-developed solution to support the UAE’s transition to quantum-safe security across critical national infrastructure.
The platform, customized in line with requirements from the UAE National Cryptography Center, strengthens the country’s cybersecurity framework by enabling large-scale cryptographic discovery, inventory management, and continuous monitoring across public and private sector systems.
CDT is designed to map cryptographic assets across complex digital environments and automate the detection of embedded encryption systems.
This capability provides organizations with improved visibility of cryptographic dependencies, enabling structured risk management and supporting migration towards post-quantum cryptography standards.
Dr. Mohamed Al-Kuwaiti Cyber Security Head UAE Government
“Our partnership with QuantumGate on the national Crypto Discovery Tool is a key step in strengthening the UAE’s cybersecurity posture against emerging quantum threats. As part of the National Post-Quantum Migration Program, sovereign capability to discover, assess, and manage cryptographic assets is essential. By tailoring the tool to the National Cryptography Center’s requirements, we are enabling greater visibility and control for a secure, coordinated transition to post-quantum cryptography, reinforcing the UAE’s position in cybersecurity innovation.”
Dr. Najwa Aaraj, Chief Executive Officer of QuantumGate, noted that, “Organizations cannot defend against risks they cannot account for. With the Crypto Discovery Tool, we have built a solution that brings that risk into full visibility, enabling organizations to act decisively and migrate with confidence. By working closely with the UAE Cyber Security Council, we are helping translate national ambition into operational readiness, ensuring the UAE’s most critical sectors are protected long before quantum threats become reality.”
The CDT platform is designed for large-scale deployment across critical infrastructure sectors and supports structured migration to quantum-resilient encryption under the UAE National Post-Quantum Migration Program.
It provides end-to-end visibility of cryptographic systems, identifies vulnerabilities, and supports planning for secure migration pathways.
The system also includes continuous monitoring and compliance functions, enabling organizations to track cryptographic assets in real time and maintain alignment with evolving regulatory requirements. Its modular compliance engine allows updates in line with new directives issued by the UAE Cyber Security Council.
In addition, CDT will integrate with the National Cybersecurity Index platform, contributing to the UAE National PQC Index. This integration will consolidate cryptographic data across entities and provide a centralized view of national cryptographic posture to support policy planning and readiness assessment.
