The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE), has unveiled a new AI-driven project aimed at enhancing labor market productivity across the UAE.
This innovative initiative seeks to streamline workforce management and foster greater efficiency within the country’s labor sector.
The project is powered by advanced artificial intelligence technologies, smart algorithms, and robotics, aligning with the UAE’s new government work system for integrating Agentic AI models into operations. This initiative is part of the vision set by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, to advance AI-driven innovations across various sectors.
The move aims to attract a diverse pool of professional talent and skilled workers, meeting the needs of the modern economy while reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global hub for talent and innovation.
Supporting UAE’s vision for a balanced and productive labor market
According to the statement, the project boosts efforts to achieve national objectives for transitioning towards a more productive, diversified, and balanced labor market and enhancing talent attraction in response to a comprehensive global shift in work and production.
Set to launch in early May, the project will utilize objective evaluation mechanisms and a range of indicators to assess work permit applicants. These indicators will include professional skills, educational qualifications, work experience, and acquired knowledge, ensuring a comprehensive and fair evaluation process.
It is part of a framework designed to increase productivity, enhance labour market efficiency, and support the development of a knowledge-based, innovation-driven economy.
