The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) (Abu Dhabi Mobility), an affiliate of the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), has conducted field trials for a 23-foot autonomous patrol boat as part of its ongoing efforts to advance innovative maritime technologies and enhance smart mobility solutions.
The field trials are conducted by Abu Dhabi Mobility under the supervision of the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) and Blue Gulf Group. This step forms part of the center’s broader efforts to advance smart mobility in the emirate.
The field trials are designed to deploy advanced autonomous patrol boats equipped with cutting-edge control technologies to support monitoring operations across waterways, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Maritime. This initiative aims to strengthen oversight within maritime channels, improve compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and further enhance overall safety across the sector.
The initiative by the Abu Dhabi Mobility aligns with the maritime sector’s transition toward smart technologies and innovative solutions, enhancing the efficiency and precision of monitoring while promoting sustainable operations across waterways. It also supports the ongoing development of an autonomous maritime transport ecosystem within the emirate.
