Network International, the Dubai-based leading enabler of digital commerce across the Middle East and Africa (MEA), has been selected as a payment and technology partner for the UAE’s first licensed digital-only bank, Al Maryah Community Bank.

The Network will enable Al Maryah Community Bank’s credit and debit card services with instant issuance and ATM services, based on its extensive experience enabling card solutions for the region’s major banks. Customers of Al Maryah will be able to make purchases utilizing e-wallets and digital commerce transactions as part of the collaboration.

The Bank seeks to offer a unique and fully digitalized experience to individual consumers and small businesses through streamlined-innovative products, holistic services, and a lean operating model to support banking transactions, savings, and investments.

“Our partnership with Network International is based on a mutual and aligned objective to empower the UAE community with digital banking that caters to their demand for an app-first lifestyle. Network’s ability to provide the most efficient technology backbone, their leadership position in payments infrastructure and their deep understanding of UAE culture and trends due to their presence in the UAE were the driving forces for us to choose them. We are looking forward to great collaboration as we change the digital banking landscape of the UAE.”

The bank also envisions becoming a trendsetter in promoting and driving community banking activity in the UAE by assuring digital access, scalability, resilience, high performance, and compliance anytime, anywhere.

Al Maryah with access to Network’s advanced digital infrastructure, robust security protocols and value-added services, will be able to avoid the need for major investments in card management infrastructure.

Mr. Marcello Baricordi, Group Business Head of Processing at Network International said that “We are delighted to support Al Maryah Community Bank as we work together to bring seamless, convenient and innovative digital payment services to individuals and SMEs in the UAE.”
