The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) and the Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) have strengthened their partnership to advance financial literacy and promote integrity in society.

The development came during an official visit by NBK Vice Chairman and Group CEO Isam Al-Sager to Nazaha’s headquarters, where he met with Nazaha Chairperson Dr. Rana Al-Fares and members of the Board of Directors.

The discussions focused on expanding cooperation frameworks and strengthening joint programs aimed at delivering sustainable social impact.

The meeting underscored the importance of aligning public and private sector efforts to support national priorities, particularly in fostering ethical values and responsible behavior within society.

Both sides explored opportunities to enhance existing initiatives and introduce new programs that contribute to long-term community development.

The highlight of the discussions was the progress of ‘Bankee,’ a pioneering financial literacy program launched by NBK in collaboration with Nazaha and the Ministry of Education Kuwait.

Over the past four years, the initiative has reached more than 104 schools across Kuwait, benefiting over 50,000 students and engaging more than 12,000 teachers.

The program has helped in improving financial awareness among young learners while instilling essential values such as responsibility, discipline, honesty, and integrity. It also contributes to developing life skills, including teamwork and personal accountability, which are critical for long-term financial independence and social contribution.

The collaboration aligns with Nazaha’s mandate to promote transparency, integrity, and the responsible use of public resources through targeted awareness and educational initiatives.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening joint initiatives to support human capital development, particularly in education, as a foundation for long-term economic growth and prosperity in Kuwait.
