The Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) has received five awards during its participation in the 25th edition of the Arab Radio and Television Festival in Tunisia, an event that witnessed broad Arab participation and intense media competition.

The festival was organized by the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), under the current chairmanship of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the Tunisian Radio and Television Corporation and the Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat).

The Festival brings together a wide array of participants each year, reflecting the diversity of the media ecosystem. This year’s festival features specialized dialogue sessions addressing key themes, including the production of Arab drama, the future of media in the age of innovation and artificial intelligence, and the role of media in children’s education and development, among other topics relevant to Arab media audiences.

SBA CEO and ASBU President Mohammed Al-Harthi described the multiple awards as a direct reflection of the ongoing transformation in the authority’s media content production. He noted that this success stems from a clear strategic vision focused on delivering local content that embodies the Kingdom’s identity and meets the highest international professional and technical standards.

Al-Harthi emphasized that such achievements would not have been possible without the strong support of SBA’s Board of Directors, led by Minister of Media and Chairman Salman Al-Dossary, who has provided an enabling environment for continuous development and innovation.

SBA plays a central role in Saudi Arabia’s media ecosystem: regulating national broadcasting, pioneering digital transformations like DAB+, nurturing local talent, and forming strategic partnerships to amplify Saudi culture globally. Its evolving infrastructure, governance, and vision closely align with Vision 2030 ambitions.
