Abu Dhabi has approved a $419 million (AED1.54 billion) housing benefits package for 1,074 Emirati citizens across the emirate, reinforcing efforts to enhance social stability and improve living standards.
The initiative has been sanctioned under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
The package includes housing loans amounting to $383 million (AED1.41 billion), which will benefit 929 citizens, alongside exemptions from housing loan repayments worth $33.5 million (AED123 million).
These exemptions will support 145 beneficiaries, including senior citizens, limited-income retirees, and families of deceased citizens.
The disbursement of this package, the second housing support initiative of 2026, comes ahead of Eid Al Adha and underscores the leadership’s continued focus on ensuring adequate housing, family stability, and long-term social welfare for Emirati citizens.
HE Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA), said that the initiative reflects the leadership’s commitment to placing citizens’ welfare at the center of national priorities. Al Shorafa noted that the housing program plays a key role in supporting social cohesion and providing dignified living conditions for Emirati families.
HE Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director-General of ADHA, stated that the housing benefits package aligns with the UAE’s broader development objectives and reinforces ongoing efforts to strengthen the housing sector.
Al Muhairi added that the ADHA continues to enhance its programs to ensure faster, more efficient access to housing services for citizens across the emirate.
According to official data, the latest package brings the total value of housing benefits delivered in Abu Dhabi during 2026 to $1.57 billion (AED5.76 billion).
Since the establishment of ADHA, total housing support provided to citizens has exceeded 133,000 benefits, with a cumulative value surpassing $49.5 billion (AED182 billion).
The authority reiterated its commitment to advancing sustainable housing solutions and improving service delivery mechanisms in line with the leadership’s vision for a stable and prosperous society.
