Jazeera Airways has announced direct flights between Kuwait International Airport Terminal 5 and London Luton Airport, expanding its European network and long-haul operations.
The new route will be operated using the airline’s Airbus A320 fleet and will become Jazeera Airways’ longest service, with a flight duration of approximately seven hours.
The development reflects the airline’s ongoing strategy to expand its international network while enhancing fleet utilization and operational reach across key global markets.
The launch follows the airline’s recent commencement of operations to Milan Bergamo in Italy, further strengthening its connectivity to Europe.
With the introduction of London Luton, Jazeera Airways aims to serve a wider passenger base, including leisure travelers, students, business passengers, and individuals traveling for family reunification between Kuwait and the United Kingdom.
According to the airline, the London Luton service will begin operations on 8 July 2026 with four weekly flights. The frequency is scheduled to increase to daily operations from 1 August 2026, depending on market demand and operational requirements.
The route is also expected to enhance onward connectivity from London Luton Airport to more than 60 destinations across the GCC, South Asia, Central Asia, and Europe through Jazeera Airways’ operations at its dedicated Terminal 5 facility in Kuwait.
“We are proud to launch this important new connection between Kuwait and the United Kingdom. London Luton further expands our growing European network soon after our inaugural operations to Milan Bergamo in Italy. This milestone route not only links two vibrant cities but also demonstrates the strength and capability of our fleet with flights of up to seven hours. We look forward to welcoming passengers onboard as we continue writing the next chapter of our European growth story.”
Stuart Summers, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Kuwait, added that, “This route carries significance both economically and diplomatically. It enhances connectivity, facilitates business, tourism, and educational exchange, and stands as a reflection of the strong and steadily deepening partnership between Kuwait and the United Kingdom.”
Alberto Martin, Chief Executive Officer of London Luton Airport, emphasized that, “The launch of this service underlines LLA’s ambition to grow regional connectivity and diversify our route network and will provide frequent and affordable flights to a hugely desirable destination for both business and leisure passengers. Importantly, it provides an important new connection to over 60 onward travel destinations across the Middle East, South and Central Asia, and Europe, all of which is welcome news for those who choose to fly from LLA, including the high contingent of South Asian people living in our local community.”
