The National Water Company (NWC) has completed a major sewage network project in parts of the Laban district, in the west of Riyadh, as part of its strategic plans to support infrastructure in the water and environmental services sectors.
Completed at an estimated cost of $8.27 million (SAR 31 million), the Sewage Network Project in Laban marks a significant step in infrastructure enhancement and in improving wastewater services for the growing community.
Explaining about the project, National Water Company statement said that it involves construction of more than 32 kilometers of sewage networks to serve over 11,000 residents in the district.
The initiative is part of NWC’s broader efforts to enhance the city’s environmental infrastructure by reducing environmental impact, eliminating visual and structural distortions, and improving the overall quality and reliability of wastewater services.
It also aims to support Riyadh’s rapid urban growth, ensuring that the city’s expanding population has access to sustainable and efficient sewage management solutions while promoting a cleaner and healthier urban environment.
National Water Company underscored that it will continue to implement infrastructure projects according to the approved schedules to ensure the provision of high-quality, sustainable environmental services and to achieve the water sector targets in the Saudi Vision 2030.
The company has called upon its customers in the Laban district to request the new service through its official channels, via either the mobile phone app or the official website.
