Qatar Chamber’s First Vice-Chairman Mr. Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Towar Al Kuwari has discussed the ways to strengthen the relationship and investment opportunities with a German delegation representing the German Near and Middle East Association (NUMOV) headed by the CEO of the KSG Security and Defense Agency, Dr. Frank Duchardt.

According to the statement, the two sides discussed cooperation ties in various fields such as cyber security, travel, and tourism, among others.

During the meeting, Mr. Al-Kuwari praised Qatar’s and Germany’s close ties in all areas, particularly in the commercial and economic sectors.

For his part, Dr. Duchardt paid tribute to the renaissance witnessed by Qatar in all areas, particularly in the infrastructure and preparations of the host of the World Cup 2022.

Dr. Duchardt said that “during the past five years the NUMOV organized five trading delegations to Qatar to learn about the investment opportunities available here and promote the investment opportunities available in Germany before Qatari investors.”

Founded in 1934, NUMOV is Germany’s oldest and largest organization that promotes economic development. The association was established to represent the trade and investment interests of the German economy in the countries of this region.

Furthermore, NUMOV organizes seminars, conferences, and delegations and provides its member companies with up-to-date and relevant information about business opportunities.

Last month, Qatar Chamber discussed the importance of strengthening economic and commercial cooperation with Azerbaijan. The delegation from Azerbaijan was headed by the Chairman of the Management Board of SME Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Orkhan Mammadov.
