The Saudi Green Building Forum (SGBF) has been taking part in the mid-year meetings of the Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated (Global ACI), taking place in Prague from April 20 to 26, alongside leaders of global and Gulf accreditation bodies, institutions, and key stakeholders from around the world.

The participation underscores the growing Saudi and Gulf presence within the international accreditation system, opening new avenues for institutional cooperation, strengthening international partnerships, and enhancing professional recognition of Saudi and Gulf conformity assessment frameworks.

It also supports future business opportunities in the sustainability and green building sector, while reinforcing the region’s role as an active partner in accreditation, quality, and sustainable development.

The participation of SGBF further highlights the importance of regional integration among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Arab states in advancing accreditation and conformity systems, improving institutional performance, and strengthening the reliability of certifications and mutual recognition at the international level. This contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of Arab markets and advancing sustainable development goals.

SGBF Secretary-General Eng. Faisal Al-Fadl emphasized that the participation represents a strategic step toward strengthening SGBF’s presence within the international accreditation ecosystem and supporting the development of saaf conformity assessment schemes based on performance, measurement, and verification.

Director General of the GCC Accreditation Center and member of the International Technical Committee for Accreditation Eng. Moteb Al-Mezani said the Prague meeting strengthened integration between international and regional accreditation bodies and scheme owners.

Al-Mezani stated that the participation of SGBF represents a qualitative addition that supports sustainable development systems across the Gulf region and the Arab world, while raising levels of trust, reliability, transparency, and professional recognition globally.
