Majra – National CSR Fund, in collaboration with the UAE National Agricultural Center (NAC), has launched a dedicated agricultural category under the ‘Sustainable Impact Challenge’ to advance food security and sustainable agricultural practices.

The launch was witnessed by Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment and Chairwoman of the National Agricultural Center, during the UAE Agricultural Exhibition and Conference 2026 held at ADNEC Al Ain.

The agricultural track aims to support applied projects that enhance productivity, optimize resource utilization, and promote environmentally sustainable farming practices.

It is also designed to improve market access for local agricultural products, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of the sector.

“Through the agriculture category, we focus on enabling projects that enhance production efficiency, optimize resource use, and strengthen the competitiveness of the agricultural sector, while supporting the access of local products to markets. We also work to connect these projects to a broader ecosystem of cross-sector partnerships, including government sectors, the private sector, and academic institutions, as well as nonprofit and impact-driven organizations, contributing to the acceleration of sustainable outcomes.”

Sultan Salem Al Shamsi, Director of the National Agricultural Center, highlighted that, “The launch of the agricultural category represents an important step toward supporting and empowering farmers in the UAE and strengthening their role in developing the agricultural sector, contributing to improved productivity and sustainability across food supply chains. Strengthening integration among stakeholders and expanding partnerships with the private sector are key to supporting farmers and improving their access to markets, contributing positively to national food security.”

The ‘Sustainable Impact Challenge’ provides a national platform for entities and individuals to present innovative solutions addressing social and environmental challenges within the UAE.

The competition follows a multi-stage evaluation process, including project submissions, public voting, and expert assessment.

Outstanding initiatives will be recognized at the upcoming Impact Summit scheduled for October, providing further momentum for projects to scale and contribute to long-term sustainable development goals.
