UAE telecom operators Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company, also known as Du and Etisalat have signed in master developer agreements (MDA) with Emaar Properties to provide telecom services to local communities in the UAE.
As part of the new agreement, both operators will cover Emaar’s major projects and provide adequate telecommunications infrastructure through their joint venture Taawun infrastructure deployment initiative.
According to the reports, customers will be able to select the retail telecom operator of their choice, and the agreement will further help the government’s long-term vision of building smart infrastructure and creating a robust telecom sector for master developers.
Under the MDA, Du and Etisalat will install, manage, and oversee state-of-the-art fixed telecom services and solutions across multiple locations, including Al Aryam Phase II, Lagoons Phase 1, Dubai Creek Harbour, The Valley by Emaar, Emaar Dubai South, Mina Rashid Properties, Dubai Hills Estates and Arabian Ranches Phase 3.
