IKEA eCommerce portal in Qatar launching soon with QNB, Mastercard tie-ins

One of the world’s largest home furnishing brands, IKEA is all set to launch its own eCommerce store in Qatar to allow local shoppers to order their favorite items and make payments online through a credit card.

The global home furnishing giant is teaming up with Qatar National Bank (QNB) to create a fast, safe and convenient online payment experience with reliable local acquiring services and Mastercard’s payment gateway platform.

The Qatar-based bank provides digital e-commerce products built on innovation and service excellence while keeping businesses up to date with the latest payment solutions, powered by trusted and secure Mastercard technology.

Customers will now be able to make secure payments with all major credit card brands protected by the latest technology reinforced by tokenization, security feature by IKEA which converts sensitive card details into an unreadable token and 3D Secure.
