The State of Qatar and Greece have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation in the agricultural sector.

The agreement was concluded as part of the working visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the Hellenic Republic, reflecting efforts to deepen cooperation between Qatar and France.

The agreement was formalized between the Qatar Ministry of Municipality and the Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food, reflecting growing bilateral engagement between the two countries in key development areas, particularly food security and sustainable agriculture.

The MoU was co-signed by HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi and Greek Minister of Rural Development and Food Margaritis Schoinas.

The agreement aims to enhance collaboration in agricultural development, exchange expertise in modern farming practices, and support initiatives that contribute to sustainable food production systems.

It also seeks to encourage joint efforts in agricultural innovation, capacity building, and knowledge transfer between relevant institutions in both countries.

The MoU forms part of broader efforts to deepen Qatar–Greece relations, which have seen steady development in recent years across economic, investment, and strategic sectors.
