Kuwait Airways has announced the resumption of 35 flights from Kuwait International Airport to a wide range of international destinations starting next week, following the reopening of airspace.

Acting Chief Executive Officer Abdulwahab Al-Shatti confirmed that the initial phase of operations will cover destinations across the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Africa, including Beirut, Riyadh, London, Istanbul, Dhaka, Mumbai, Kochi, Colombo, Delhi, Manila, Cairo, Jeddah, and Trivandrum.

Phased restoration of services

Under the revised schedule, Cairo flights will operate daily from Sunday, while Beirut services will run twice weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays starting April 27.

Riyadh flights are scheduled twice weekly from April 28, and Jeddah will operate four times weekly. London services will resume three times a week from April 28.

In Asia, Colombo will see one weekly flight from April 27, Istanbul will operate weekly services from April 29, and Delhi flights will resume on Mondays from April 28.

Kochi will be served three times weekly, Manila three times weekly starting tomorrow, Dhaka four times weekly, Mumbai twice weekly, and Trivandrum twice weekly, all beginning from late April.

Abdulwahab Al-Shatti stated that the additional destination schedules will be announced following regulatory approvals, noting that the airline remains prepared to operate with flexibility while maintaining safety, continuity, and service quality standards.

Al-Shatti also acknowledged the support of Kuwait Civil Aviation President Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Sabah and praised the dedication of Kuwait Airways staff and pilots for ensuring safe and efficient operations during the transition period.

The restart of services follows the reopening of Kuwaiti airspace last Thursday at Kuwait International Airport, after a temporary suspension that began on February 28 due to regional security developments.
